Five Tenure-Line Faculty Positions

 

The School of International Service invites applications/nominations for five tenure-line positions to begin in Academic Year 2010-2011. Responsibilities will include teaching and research supervision at the undergraduate and graduate levels, mentoring students, and participating in SIS and University governance. Qualifications: PhD or highest equivalent degree in a relevant discipline and record of teaching and research excellence.

 

C.W. Lim and Korea Foundation Chair / 1 senior position with the possibility of tenure

Specialization in Korean politics and foreign policy and East Asian international relations.

 

Global Environmental Politics / 1 Open Rank Specialization in sustainable development, international environmental cooperation, climate change, corporate sustainability, transnational environmental justice, global sustainability, and/or geopolitics of environmental protection.

 

International Communication / 1 Assistant Professor

Specialization in public health prevention and health communication, with a focus on cross-cultural communication of global health policy and practice.

 

International Economic Relations / 1 Assistant Professor

Specialization in economic, political, or policy issues related to international economic relations, whether focusing on trade or finance

 

International Politics / 1 Assistant Professor

Specialization in transnational crime, terrorism, or corruption. Focus on one of the following preferred: trafficking (human, narcotics, arms), money laundering, transnational crime groups, governance, or international security.

 

Candidates should send a letter of intent, curriculum vitae, three letters of reference, evidence of teaching effectiveness, copies of relevant publications, and a graduate school transcript.
